Deep cleaning for infection control and recovery in Leicester.

There are many reasons to want a clean home, from the aesthetic benefit to hosting company or keeping your living space hygienic.

But sometimes life hands you a curveball that means you need a little extra help.

For this customer in Leicester, Merry Maids was the right pair of hands for the job when she needed specialist deep cleaning after her mum was in the hospital with C.diff.

This blog post has all the details.

What was the problem?

This customer got in touch with Rachel and her team at Merry Maids Leicester after her mum was in hospital with a Clostridioides difficile (C.diff) infection.

C.diff is a type of bacteria that often affects people who have been taking antibiotics and can cause a range of nasty symptoms from an upset stomach and high temperatures to sickness and loss of appetite.

Because C. diff can live on people’s skin, it can be spread by touch, and therefore, medical experts like the American CDC recommend cleaning and disinfecting surfaces to reduce further risk of infection. To properly reduce the threat of further infection and complications, it’s also recommended that patients use specialist methods and products for the best results.

For this customer, she knew she needed the house cleaned before her mum got home, but was struggling to find someone to do the job.

That’s where we came in.

How we helped

Rachel and her team of cleaners at Merry Maids Leicester spoke to the customer to assess her needs, stocked up on all the correct PPE and chemicals for C.diff cleaning and control, and sent one of our experienced and expertly trained cleaners out to do a full deep cleaning of the property, all the while staying in direct contact with the customer to ensure everything proceeded as expected and that she was happy with the process.

The result

One clean home later, the customer was very grateful to us for going above and beyond and getting the job done for her mother to come home safely and expressed how thankful they were, leaving the team this glowing Google Review:

“Fantastic service from start to end, cannot rate this business highly enough, should be 10 gold stars, need I say any more except a big thank you to Rachel & Sam? If you need a cleaning service, this is the one to use!”
